About this tool
Create balanced-size teams from a list of participants. Names are shuffled with the browser’s cryptographic random source and distributed across your chosen number of teams; no skills or other attributes are assumed.

Questions, answered
How are uneven numbers split?
Team sizes differ by at most one person. For example, 10 participants across 3 teams produces team sizes of 4, 3 and 3.
Can two participants have the same name?
Yes. Turn off duplicate removal to keep each line as a participant, or add a surname or identifier to distinguish their names.
